Moviestorm 1.1.7 - available now!
Moviestorm 1.1.7 is now live! Just start up Moviestorm, and you’ll be taken through the upgrade process.
We’ve republished nearly all the content packs to make them faster to launch, so if you’ve got the Complete Moviestorm this could take a little while. It doesn’t download the entire pack again, but you could be looking at something over 100Mb.
Moviestorm 1.1.7 brings a host of major new improvements: it launches and runs much faster than 1.1.6, and we’ve brought in a new, slicker interface, along with a load of minor changes and bug fixes. The new catalog system in the set workshop makes it much easier to find out what content you haven’t got, and the script timeline makes it straightforward to control several characters at once.
We’re sure you’ll agree that this release is a huge leap forward for Moviestorm, and we’re excited to see what you do with it over the coming months. And please, as always, give us your feedback.
If you’ve already started a movie in 1.1.6, and you’re wondering whether to upgrade to 1.1.7 right away, you should be safe. We did encounter some minor issues in beta testing, but nothing that’s caused a movie to break, and we think we fixed all the ones we could find. However, we can’t guarantee it 100%, so if you’ve invested the last few months of your life in making your mighty blockbuster, and you’re now only days from completion, we’d strongly advise you to take a backup!
Full release notes are on the dev blog if you want to read them through before downloading.
Have fun!
