48 Hour Film project needs a producer - paid gig!
Anyone interested in getting paid to publicise machinima? We just had this from Ben Guaraldi, Director of Outreach for the 48 Hour Film Project.
As you probably know, the 48HFP is an international filmmaking competition in which teams of filmmakers from four continents make movies in 48 hours. For the past two years, we’ve taken had a Machinima competition, which competes against our regular cities. We’re hoping to do this again in 2009, but our wonderful Machinima Producer, Melissa Robison, is moving on to other projects.
The 48HFP is now looking for a new Machinima Producer. She or he will be responsible for getting the word out about the Machinima 48HFP; securing a way to screen the films; running the kickoff, dropoff, and screenings; and making sure the filmmakers have a good time. Knowledge of virtual worlds and editing programs are essential, as are organizational, communication, and writing skills.
This is a paid position. The Machinima Producer cannot participate in the 48 Hour Film Project.
If you’re interested, or know someone who is, please send a resume and a cover email to (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)—and be sure to include a phone number.
Please don’t email questions without attaching a resume.
Please feel free to pass the word around.

Is this why I never got my trophy?
You’ll have to speak to them directly.
