Hot on the heels of last week’s Special Effects pack, Moviestorm takes another step towards being a complete movie studio in a box with the addition of four new packs of royalty-free, fully licensed film and television music from Bob and Barn.
Accents and Idents 23 tracks, £5.99
The smallest things often make the biggest difference in a movie, particularly when it comes to sounds and music. This collection of fully licensed royalty free music clips, mostly only a few seconds long, will add much more than you might expect. From Scooby Doo style comedy footsteps to news idents, you’re sure to find a surprising use for these little gems.
Action Themes 75 tracks, £14.99
Nothing conveys action more than a high-octane fast pulsing soundtrack. Whether it’s a fight scene, a chase, or just the buildup to a climax, these fully licensed royalty-free original film music tracks will add Bourne and Bond style energy and drive to your movies. There’s also suspense, tension, fear, and just a touch of magic and fantasy. Whatever you’re making, this pack will add a touch of drama.
Tracks range from a few seconds to 90 seconds.
Contemporary, Ethnic and Retro Grooves 112 tracks, £14.99
Funk up your movies with this wild collection of sounds. Great as they are, you don’t always want a big orchestral soundtrack. This varied and versatile pack of fully licensed royalty-free original film music gives you cool Miami beats, 70s style grooves, Blade Runner styled electronica, Middle Eastern and African themes, and modern dance sounds, perfect for backing music or theme tunes.
Tracks range from a few seconds to over five minutes.
Epic Adventure Themes 79 tracks, £14.99
No matter how grand and expansive your vision, it always seems small scale without the music to back it up. Watch any Hollywood movie of the last 80 years, and you’ll see how the magnificent vistas are amplified with rousing orchestral sound. Sadness, horror, loss, heroism, love and much, much more are all covered in this pack of fully licensed royalty-free original film music.
Tracks range from a few seconds to nearly four minutes.
You can also buy all four as a bundle for just £39.99 at a discount of over 20% - that’s a saving of more than £10 when you buy the lot. 15p a track - we can’t say fairer than that!
And, as if that’s not a good enough deal, check out our new compilation bundle deals, and get up to 30% off!
The 2009 Compilation contains everything we’ve done this year - or for ultimate value grab the Complete Moviestorm - 28 packs, with a vast collection of characters, costumes, props, sets, animations, special effects, sounds and music for £159.
The Complete Moviestorm bundle offers you a massive 30% saving on all 28 of the Moviestorm packs we’ve released so far. Buying these packs individually would cost you over £229, but we’re knocking more than £70 off the price and offering it to you for just £159! That’s even cheaper than buying both the 2008 and 2009 compilations. We’re also throwing in the special Storm and Street Sets packs, normally only available as part of the Music Video and Streets Bundles, so you don’t miss out on anything. If you’re planning on getting serious with your Moviestorming, this is easily the fastest and most cost-effective way to build up your collection of characters, costumes, props, sets, animations, special effects, sounds and music.
If you’ve already bought the 2008 Compilation, then your best bet will be the ten-pack Moviestorm 2009 Compilation. This contains all the content packs released this year: that’s Special Effects, Criminals, General Cars, Street Dressing, Town Buildings, and the bonus Street Sets pack, plus the four new music packs: Accents and Idents, Action Themes, Contemporary, Ethnic and Retro Grooves, and Epic Adventure Themes. It includes over 250 fully licensed music tracks, as well as customizable costumes, vehicles, weapons, explosions and special effects, morphable heads, sets, props and animations. Individually, these packs would cost you over £99, but we’re offering this incredible bundle at a massive 30% discount for just £69.
Both these bundles will be released tomorrow, Wednesday 29 July, 2009.
Grab them quick - this offer won’t last for ever!
For the benefit of our American and European friends, that’s approximately $250 / €184 for the Complete Moviestorm, and $114 / €80 for the 2009 Bundle. Currency costs may fluctuate and you may not get these rates.

At last - the news you’ve all been waiting for! We’ve promised, we’ve hinted, and we’ve teased, and now finally we can tell you…
The Special Effects pack will be released on Wednesday, July 22, priced at £14.99.
This incredible pack completely transforms what Moviestorm can do. Add dramatic action with customisable explosions, fireworks, flashes, and smoke. Light up your scenes with customisable blazing fires, burning barrels, toxic sludge and steaming vents. Give your actors wands, sparklers and lighted torches for those Indiana Jones or Harry Potter moments, and then, for a final touch, add weather effects, with everything from light drizzle to torrential rain, snow, hail and ice.
The versatility of this pack is limitless, especially when combined with our other content packs. Combine it with the lasers and lighting rigs for wicked stage pyrotechnics, use the torches, rain, boulders and trees for high-octane jungle adventures, give your characters the magic touch, or give your cops criminals to truly fear by letting them play with dynamite and bombs!
If you haven’t already seen what this pack can do, just take a look at these:
As we’ve hinted just a few times over the last few weeks in the promos for the special effects pack, we will shortly be releasing our first music packs from Bob and Barn. We gave a preview of some of the tracks to machinima audio legend Phil “Overman” Rice of Zarathustra Studios, creator of the most successful machinima of all time, Male Restroom Etiquette, as well as the recent Bitfilm nominees Blast Supper and Intervention. This is what he came back with - Mastermind, excerpts from a non-existent thriller. Not only does it show off the music, but the camerawork and use of cel shading are truly triumphant.
You’ll be able to get your hands on the Bob and Barn packs in the next couple of months, just as soon as we’ve got Special Effects and hairstyles out.
Here we go again. We’ve got over 20 of the very best of your Moviestorm music videos all parcelled up neatly for worldwide Facebookification. Just grab the app (don’t worry, no spammery or other nastiness!), pick your favorites, and share them with your friends. The wide-ranging playlist includes Radiohead, Aretha Franklin, Cole Porter, Vice, Marillion, Christina Aguilera, Emissary, Tampasm, Danny Elfman, and, ummm, John McCain (remember him?) singing a Beach Boys number.
To quote the late, great Jim Morrison, “I wanna get some action round here!” So yeah, let’s have some Moviestorm action. Machine guns ain’t enough for you lot. Oh, no. You want the real stuff. You want to make things go bang. Big time.
Alrighty then! You ask, we deliver the big bad-a-boom…
Actually, that’s only a little bad-a-boom. We dialled it way down. They get much, much bigger, with more smoke, more flashes, and more all-around destructo-mania. Ooooh, you’re gonna love this pack!
As always, this is 100% Moviestorm. No mods, no post-processing, no third party editors or software.
